Baukom/ESDEC partnership promises 40 per cent time savings on solar system installation

12. August 2024|

More and more private households and commercial enterprises are focussing on self-sufficient energy solutions. At the forefront: photovoltaics. The expansion of the most important source of electricity among renewable energies could be faster, but time delays at installation companies are slowing down this part of the energy transition. Baukom and ESDEC want to change that: Their new solar substructure promises time savings of up to 40 per cent.

The partnership between Baukom, a leading manufacturer of profiles for all wall, façade and insulation system requirements, and ESDEC, technology leader in substructures for solar systems, combines the core expertise of both companies. Baukom has a first-class network of dealers and distributors, while ESDEC brings innovative expertise in the installation of solar substructures.

The solar substructures can be installed on pitched and flat roofs in just four steps and with just one tool. Smaller construction teams are almost twice as fast as traditional companies, whose tradesmen are tied to individual construction sites for too long, with less susceptibility to errors and less effort. Private and commercial customers alike benefit from the new ‘high-speed installation’.

‘We have been supplying construction products for walls and façades for 30 years. The step onto the roof is a further development of our portfolio. In ESDEC, we have found a partner that fulfils our quality standards,’ says Stefan Endlweber, CEO and shareholder of Baukom. Harm Haarlink, Managing Director ESDEC Europe, adds: ‘The Baukom Group places the highest demands on innovative strength and on the products it markets in its large network. We share these standards and are delighted to be strongly positioned in Germany with Baukom’.

About Baukom and ESDEC

Baukom (https://www.baukom-group.de/) stands for innovation and sustainability. For example, the company has developed a fabric corner bracket made from 100% recycled PVC for drywall construction, and the aluminium profiles are also 100% recycled. The company’s sustainable packaging solutions have also received awards.

ESDEC (https://www.esdec.com/de/) has been developing intelligent mounting systems for solar modules since 2004. Thanks to almost two decades of experience and over 11 GW of installed systems, ESDEC is regarded as the international market leader in its sector.
